Therapeutically Intervening in Crisis
Therapeutically Intervening in Crisis
Empowering You to Make a Difference in Crisis (3 Hours)
Service Description
Therapeutically intervening in crisis training for community workers is a program designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective support to people experiencing a crisis. The training focuses on helping community workers to develop a deep understanding of the impact of trauma and crisis on individuals, families, and communities, as well as the key principles and strategies for providing effective intervention. Through a combination of theoretical and practical training, community workers learn how to provide therapeutic support in a crisis, including how to identify the signs of trauma, how to create a safe and supportive environment, and how to use evidence-based interventions to help individuals and families overcome the challenges they are facing. The program also emphasises the importance of self-care and resilience-building for community workers, recognising that working in crisis situations can be emotionally demanding and stressful. By equipping community workers with the skills they need to provide effective support and take care of themselves, the program aims to build a strong and resilient network of individuals who are equipped to support their communities in times of need.
